What is Laser Hair Removal?

 

Laser hair removal devices beam highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorb the light which then destroys the hair.

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

Not ours. Traditional lasers are painful and feel like a rubber band snapping. With the newest technology, it is completely pain-free due to the sapphire cooling tip and our Moveo technology--meaning that the tip is in constant motion. You'll just have to try it to believe it!

Does LHR work on light and fine hair? What about darker skin types?

 

The most effective laser (especially for fine and light hair) has always been the Alexandrite laser. However, there are limitations with the Alexandrite laser in regards to treating darker skin types. So providers have historically had to settle for less efficacious laser hair removal options. Until now.

How Many Sessions Are Recommended?

We recommend an average of six sessions. The number of sessions varies based on the individual. Occasionally, those with very light or finer hair may benefit from a couple of extra sessions. 

 

We do offer a lifetime upgrade that includes unlimited sessions for life. Individual sessions are 1/2 price for two years following the completion of your package.

Laser Pigmentation Removal

What is Pigmentation Removal?

 

Pigmentation is better known as dark spots or "age spots." Our laser offers dual treatment options including the Alexandrite laser for hair removal and the YAG laser option to treat benign pigmented lesions.

Is It Painful?

 

There is minimal discomfort, but some do feel a quick snapping sensation very briefly when the laser fires. 

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

 

Possible immediate post treatment reactions include:

  • Darkening of lesion (lasts up to 7 days)

  • Slight swelling (lasts up to 2 days)

  • Slight redness (can last up to 7 days)

Treated lesions will begin to slough off via exfoliation between 14-21 days after treatment. Repeat treatments can be performed 3-4 weeks after as long as the tissue has completely healed.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

 

Required number of treatments range from one session to three sessions on average depending on the amount of pigment in the lesion. Typically darker lesions require less treatments compared to lighter lesions.

What Kind of Lesions Can Be Treated?

 

We can treat any pigmented lesions that are flat and are not concerning for cancerous lesions. We will evaluate your lesions at your visit prior to treatment.
