Lumecca Peak IPL Photofacial in Elizabethton, TN
Target sun spots, hyperpigmentation, and redness for a clearer, more even-looking complexion.
Lumecca Peak is an advanced intense pulsed light treatment, commonly called an IPL photofacial. It targets unwanted pigment and superficial blood vessels to improve the appearance of sun damage, brown spots, and facial redness.
At Doe River Aesthetics & Weight Loss, we personalize treatment to your skin, concerns, and goals.
What Makes Lumecca Peak Different?
Lumecca Peak brings advanced technology to IPL treatment, combining increased optical power and shorter pulses with a cooled treatment tip.
These features allow efficient delivery of light energy to selected pigment and vascular concerns. Its large sapphire cooling tip helps protect the skin's surface and improve comfort, while rapid pulse delivery helps streamline treatment.
InMode describes Lumecca Peak as designed to achieve photorejuvenation in fewer treatments than standard IPL systems. Your treatment needs will still depend on your skin, the concerns being addressed, and your response.
What Can Lumecca Peak Help Improve?
• Sun spots and age spots
• Selected forms of hyperpigmentation
• Freckles and uneven skin tone
• Sun-related skin discoloration
• Persistent facial redness
• Rosacea-associated redness
• Small visible blood vessels, often called broken capillaries

Hyperpigmentation and Sun Spots
Hyperpigmentation describes areas of skin that appear darker because of excess pigment. Lumecca Peak can address selected superficial brown spots, including sun spots, helping create a more even-looking complexion.
Not all pigmentation responds to the same treatment. We assess your skin before recommending IPL, particularly if you have melasma or a history of pigmentation changes.
Rosacea and Redness
For appropriate patients, Lumecca Peak may reduce the appearance of rosacea-associated redness and visible facial vessels.
Rosacea is a chronic condition, and IPL does not cure it. Treatment may be one part of a broader plan that includes skincare, trigger management, and medication when appropriate. Maintenance treatments may be needed.
Treatment Areas
Common treatment areas include:
• Face
• Neck
• Chest
• Hands
Other areas of sun damage can be assessed during your consultation.
What to Expect
Your appointment begins with a skin assessment and preparation of the treatment area. Protective eyewear is used during treatment.
You may feel brief warmth or a snapping sensation as the light pulses are delivered. The cooled treatment tip helps improve comfort. Appointment length depends on the size and number of areas treated.
Recovery and Results
Temporary redness, warmth, or mild swelling may occur. Treated brown spots can become darker before gradually flaking away over the following days. Avoid picking or scrubbing these areas.
Pigment and redness may improve at different rates. Some patients notice improvement after an initial appointment, while others need a series.
We personalize the number of sessions and spacing based on your skin and response.
Maintaining Your Results
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen and consistent sun protection are essential. Continued sun exposure can contribute to new pigmentation, and rosacea-associated redness may recur.
We can recommend skincare and maintenance treatments to support your results.
Is Lumecca Peak Right for You?
We review your skin tone, recent tanning, medical history, medications, and type of pigmentation before recommending treatment.
IPL is not appropriate for every skin tone or skin condition. Recent sun exposure or tanning may require postponing treatment. Melasma requires careful assessment because light and heat can worsen it in some patients.
Potential risks include burns, blistering, pigment changes, and scarring. Results vary between patients.
