Why Provider Training and Experience Matter

 

Facial fat helps support natural contours and a youthful appearance. Reducing fat is not the goal in every area.

 

Treatment requires careful selection of depth and energy, particularly in areas where we want to preserve volume, such as the midface, lateral cheeks, and temples. Our approach emphasizes individualized treatment planning, with attention to both skin improvement and preservation of desirable facial volume.

 

 

How Many Treatments Do We Recommend?

 

At Doe River, we generally recommend a series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart to work toward the best outcome.

 

Your plan may be adjusted based on your skin, goals, healing, and response. Maintenance treatments can be discussed after your initial series.

 

 

Your Comfort Is a Priority

 

We allow a full hour for topical numbing before treatment. We use a specialized numbing cream selected specifically for Morpheus8 to help make the experience more comfortable.

 

You may still experience warmth, pressure, or discomfort. If pain is a concern, please ask us before your appointment so we can discuss additional options.

 

For eligible adults, prescription pain-control options may include Journavx, a non-opioid medication for moderate to severe acute pain. It is not an NSAID anti-inflammatory. Suitability depends on your medical history, medications, and individual treatment plan.

 

 

When Will I See Results?

 

Results build gradually because new collagen formation—called neocollagenesis—takes time.

 

You may notice earlier changes, but improvement can continue for several months. We may allow up to six months after completing your series to assess the fuller result. The degree and timing of improvement vary between patients.

 

 

Morpheus8 During and After Weight Loss

 

Weight loss, including weight loss with GLP-1 medications, can bring changes in facial volume and skin laxity.

 

Morpheus8 may be an option to support skin firmness and improve crepey texture during or after weight loss. It cannot guarantee prevention of loose skin or replace lost facial volume.

 

For patients actively losing weight, we carefully consider treatment timing and settings, with particular attention to preserving facial fat where it is needed.

 

 

Combining Morpheus8 with CoolPeel or CO₂ Laser

 

Morpheus8 and laser resurfacing address different aspects of skin aging.

 

Morpheus8 focuses on tissue remodeling and skin firmness, while CoolPeel or other CO₂ resurfacing treatments can address surface texture and fine lines. For suitable patients, a coordinated treatment plan may address several concerns together.

Recovery and Important Considerations

 

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, and small treatment marks can occur. Recovery depends on treatment intensity and individual healing. We provide personalized instructions for skincare, makeup, exercise, and sun protection.

 

Morpheus8 is a medical procedure. Potential risks include burns, pigment changes, infection, scarring, unintended fat loss, and nerve injury. Treatment does not replace a surgical facelift or neck lift, and results vary.
