Men's Testosterone Therapy & Peak T Membership in Elizabethton, TN

More than a testosterone number. Personalized care for your health and well-being.

At Doe River Aesthetics & Weight Loss, our approach to testosterone replacement therapy, or TRT, goes beyond a hormone panel.

We evaluate your symptoms, medical history, thyroid function, metabolic health, and other potential contributors to how you feel. Our goal is to identify what needs attention and create a treatment plan that fits your health and lifestyle.

Could Low Testosterone Be Part of the Picture?

An evaluation may be helpful if you're experiencing:

• Reduced sexual desire
• Changes in erectile function
• Low energy or persistent fatigue
• Decreased muscle strength
• Changes in mood or motivation
• Changes in body composition

These symptoms can have several causes. We assess the bigger picture rather than assuming testosterone is the answer.

Peak T Membership — $125 per Month

Our Peak T Membership makes ongoing treatment convenient, with the following included:

• Prescribed TRT medications
• Injection supplies
• An estrogen blocker, only when clinically indicated
• Follow-up provider visits
• 15% off erectile dysfunction medications

Follow-up laboratory testing is billed separately at $99.

An estrogen blocker is not automatically needed with TRT. Its use is individualized based on symptoms, relevant laboratory findings, and provider assessment.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Book “Initial Testosterone Labs”

Book “Initial Testosterone Labs” to begin your evaluation.

Your initial in-office laboratory panel is $229. If you prefer testing through Quest or LabCorp, contact our team to arrange laboratory orders.

Step 2: Complete Your Comprehensive Laboratory Evaluation

Our initial panel includes:

• Complete blood count — CBC
• Comprehensive metabolic panel — CMP
• Hemoglobin A1C
• Lipid panel
• Thyroid-stimulating hormone — TSH
• Free T4
• Free T3
• Total and free testosterone with sex hormone-binding globulin — SHBG
• Estradiol
• Total and free prostate-specific antigen — PSA
• Follicle-stimulating hormone — FSH
• Luteinizing hormone — LH
• Insulin-like growth factor 1 — IGF-1
• DHEA-Sulfate — DHEA-S

This broader evaluation helps us assess potential contributors to your symptoms and identify findings that may require treatment, additional testing, or referral.

A diagnosis of testosterone deficiency requires symptoms alongside consistently low testosterone levels. A second early-morning testosterone measurement may be needed before treatment is recommended.

If you use Quest or LabCorp, the laboratory may bill your insurance according to its policies. Coverage varies by plan, test, and medical necessity, and we cannot guarantee coverage.

Confirm benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs with your insurer and the laboratory before testing.

Step 3: Meet with Your Nurse Practitioner

We generally schedule your provider appointment approximately one week after your lab draw, once results are available.

You'll meet with Lindsay Cox, NP, who brings more than ten years of nurse practitioner experience and a background in family practice.

During this appointment, we review your symptoms, laboratory results, medical history, and treatment options. We discuss potential benefits, risks, and whether TRT is appropriate for you.

The initial visit is $200 and includes your first month of TRT medication if treatment is prescribed.

Subcutaneous Injections: An Alternative to Muscle Injections

We offer subcutaneous testosterone injections, which deliver medication into the fatty tissue beneath the skin rather than deep into a muscle.

This approach typically uses a smaller, shorter needle and may feel more comfortable than intramuscular injections. It can also make home administration less intimidating for patients who prefer that option.

We select the medication, dose, and injection method individually. Comfort varies, and injection-site reactions can occur.

Choose Office or Home Injections

Your treatment should fit your routine.

You can come to our office for weekly injections or administer your prescribed injections at home if you feel comfortable and your provider determines that home treatment is appropriate.

Before starting home injections, we teach you how to prepare and administer your medication, handle supplies, and dispose of needles safely.

Follow-Up & Ongoing Support

We generally follow up every three to six months, with earlier visits or testing when needed—particularly after starting or changing treatment.

We monitor your symptoms, response, side effects, and relevant laboratory results to guide adjustments.

You do not need to wait for a scheduled appointment if concerns arise.

Important Treatment Considerations

TRT is not appropriate for everyone. We review your medical history, fertility goals, and individual risks before prescribing.

Testosterone therapy can reduce sperm production and affect fertility. Tell us if you are planning to have children.

Treatment also requires monitoring for concerns such as increased red blood cell counts, blood pressure changes, and prostate-related findings. Benefits and response vary between patients.

Program Pricing

• Initial in-office laboratory panel: $229
• Initial provider visit, including first month of TRT medication if prescribed: $200
